What you can do

Everything the administration team uses Acrobat for, without the monthly bill.

Open & view

Open any PDF, zoom, jump pages, and browse page thumbnails. Handles large documents smoothly.

Add text & markup

Drop text boxes, highlights, freehand drawing, shapes, and images anywhere on the page.

Sign & fill forms

Draw a signature and place it, and fill out existing PDF form fields.

Manage pages

Reorder, rotate, delete, insert blank pages, merge several PDFs, or split one apart.

Save anywhere

Save or Save As to your computer with every edit baked into the file. Undo and redo anything.

Edit existing text beta

Click a line of text to change it in place. Still in testing, so a few documents may not be perfect yet.

Install it (Windows, about 5 minutes)

A quick one-time setup.

  1. Click Download for Windows above. If your browser asks whether to keep the file, click Keep. It lands in your Downloads folder as PDF-Editor-Setup.exe.
  2. Double-click the file to start the installer.
  3. Windows may show a blue box that says "Windows protected your PC." This is normal because the app is brand new. Click More info, then Run anyway.
  4. Click through the installer (Next, then Install) until it finishes.
  5. Open PFS PDF Editor from the Start menu.
Why the warning? This is an internal build that isn't registered with Microsoft yet, so Windows shows a caution screen. It is safe to run. Choosing "Run anyway" lets it install.

How to use it

The basics to get going.

  1. Click Open (or drag a PDF onto the window) to load a document.
  2. Pick a tool from the left toolbar, text, highlight, draw, shapes, image, or signature, then click on the page to use it.
  3. Use the Pages menu to rotate, delete, insert, merge, or split pages.
  4. When you are done, click Save or Save As. Use Ctrl+Z to undo.
